Delivering Therme Group’s Unique Concept in the UK

Therme Group’s vision is to create the world’s most advanced wellbeing resorts, harnessing the complex interplay of nature, technology and culture. Beginning with Therme Manchester, Therme Group will bring its wellbeing resort concept to cities throughout the UK, transforming urban lifestyles with profound benefits to the health and wellbeing.

Therme Group UK is responsible for the strategic planning, development and rollout of Therme Group resorts in the UK.

Therme Group is set to bring facilities throughout the UK representing a major investment in the wellbeing of the British public.

Creating Social Infrastructure

Therme Group contributes to the health and wellbeing of the communities it serves in a way that is affordable and accessible to all, an issue that has received increased focus and urgency in 2020.

Increasingly, wellbeing in all its forms is being seen as essential rather than a luxury. As much as providing a fun and healthy day, Therme Group is focused on opportunities to drive sustainable, positive behaviour change in the long term and contribute towards preventative healthcare in the community. Therme Group facilities will constitute vital pieces of social infrastructure, creating relaxing and fun places to meet whilst also nurturing mental and physical health. Therme Group has active plans for new facilities throughout the UK. These developments will be a significant driver for economic growth and technological innovation. The rollout will create over 3,000 new direct jobs and represents a major investment in the health and wellbeing of the British population.

Therme Group facilities’ indoor ecosystems offer fun, relaxing, natural spaces within cities.

 A Global Concept Locally Delivered

At Therme Group we understand that there is no one size fits all for wellbeing. To reflect this, Therme Group facilities are carefully tailored to their local contexts.  Therme Group UK works closely with central and local government bodies, investors and stakeholders to deliver its plans. By involving its local partners at every stage of development, Therme Group can ensure that each facility is perfectly adapted to unique needs of local communities.

Therme Group’s UK development plan includes projects in Wales, Scotland and London, as well as a 28-acre resort in Manchester, where work begins next year. All the projects will be developed at sites located near to city centres. Therme Group is part of a global movement towards improving city wellbeing through access to nature, sustainable environments, inclusive spaces and accessible art and culture. Therme Group facilities will provide an urban oasis, a space for people to unwind in nature, helping to bring communities together and creating a connected city wellbeing ecosystem.

Therme Manchester will bring profound health, social and economic benefits to the Greater Manchester area and beyond.

Therme Manchester

Within the first five years of opening, Therme Manchester is forecast to be the no.1 all-season water-based attraction. It will combine hundreds of water-based activities with wellbeing treatments, art, nature and technology, to create a unique experience never before seen in the UK. It will include a large family area with waterslides, a wave pool, indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms, relaxation areas and dozens of other fun, relaxing and healthy activities, all in a biodiverse natural environment.

The resort represents an investment of £250 million and will play a significant role in the social and economic development of the region, creating hundreds of jobs and building social cohesion with an experience that is inclusive, accessible and affordable.
