The joint venture will bring wellbeing food experiences to millions of guests worldwide.

Therme Group and Russell Partnership Collection (RPC), the world-renowned food, hospitality and technology consultancy, have launched a new global joint venture, Therme RPC.

Therme RPC will deliver transformational food and nutrition strategies across all Therme Group wellbeing resorts worldwide. This includes Therme Manchester, at 28 acres, the UK’s first city-based wellbeing resort, on track to open in TraffordCity, Manchester in 2023.

The ambition of Therme RPC is to deliver the world’s most innovative wellbeing-focussed food experiences. Through an emphasis on evidence-based nutrition and bio-individuality, food concepts and menus will be developed appropriate for all guests, true to Therme Group’s inclusive vision of ‘wellbeing for all’.

Therme RPC will underpin the health and vitality of the millions of guests that visit Therme Group’s resorts every year. The business vision will encourage sustainable behaviour change to benefit mental, physical and social health, while delivering delicious, fun options to delight all guests.

Therme RPC’s team of registered nutritionists will develop a set of bespoke food guidelines, recognising that all humans are biologically unique and require personalised nutrition solutions. This wellbeing-focused framework will be designed to adapt to the unique needs of each guest.

Sustainable innovations planned for Therme Group resorts, some of which will be seen at Therme Manchester, include the creation of vertical farms, roof-top beehives, artisan bakeries and partnerships with chalk stream fish farms and local producers.

The vertical farms will grow produce both for Therme Group’s on-site restaurants and for the wider local community. Vertical farm technology uses 95% less water than traditional agriculture with no pesticides or herbicides. With a huge emphasis on sustainability across the group, the farms will use advanced systems for energy-efficient environmental control.

Alongside these innovations, onsite training academies and knowledge centres will act as centres of enrichment. This focus on community engagement and social value is a core element of the Therme Group approach as it continues the roll out of its city-based wellbeing resort concept throughout the UK and worldwide.

Therme RPC will be led by Professor David Russell, CEO of Therme RPC and Chairman of Russell Partnership Collection, and includes a team of food specialists, operational experts, registered nutritionists and psychologists.

“Our joint venture has been two years in the making and delivers the optimum platform to establish Therme RPC as a unique global cornerstone in wellbeing and nutrition. Through this world-first unification, Therme RPC is energised and excited by the possibilities and opportunities that lay ahead.”

Professor Russell, Therme RPC CEO, said.

“The creation of Therme RPC is driven by the opportunity to transform people’s relationship with food, nutrition and health. Through this unique partnership we will help to reconnect humans with nature and put sustainable food at the centre of human wellbeing.”

Dr Robert Hanea, Chairman and CEO of Therme Group, added.
